This is the most organized, clear and concise app Ive ever used and the feature I love the most is the SEND THE REPORT by email which is not only done perfectly and easy for all parties to read, its beautiful, colorful and well laid out. The creator is my new app hero! Bravo. Wishes: I wish I could export the report as an excel file. Wish #2: Can you please write an equally simple and clear program for me to track my expenses, my contractors labor, fuel, etc. on the fly for my business?

Since I’ve downloaded this app I am now the elected treasurer for all of our showers, bridal teas, etc. so easy to use!

Loving this app but it will not connect to the App Store to upgrade to the premium version - which I need as we have more then 5 transactions. Ugh!

I’ve been using this application for more than 6 years, it is really super easy and manageable way to split the cost between group members. With a beautiful feature to track expenses with different currencies.

I’m in love with this app, have used it on 6 group trips so far and designated the manager of find split even though I give everyone in the group access. However, on my last trip I noticed the pay out calculations were WAY OFF and made me wonder if I am relying on this too much. Would love to work with the creator bc I want to keep using this app!!! It at least did a great job of logging our expenses but dividing them after needs a thorough update!!

How the heck do I cancel my premium account?! This app is charging me monthly but not showing up in my Apple purchases to cancel. The Cost Split app itself doesn’t give me the option to cancel and the website is useless. This is very frustrating & a money grab.

I was looking for an app to split and settle up cost during sailing trips. I tried several apps All of them lack some features which you really need. - Split by %, weight or value from bill - assign weight per member. - clear summary report you can see when who and what was the split - history screen shows many transactions grouped by day - receipt images - history screen indicates who paid for whom. - can use multiple currencies - easy to share with others using code. - registration not needed. - online sync - clean interface If you go for a trip with friends this app is all you need.

This takes all the financial hassle out of traveling with friends. Only one check needed per meal (servers love us lol), one person buys all the concert tickets, one person pays for the rental car or AirBnB, etc., you get the idea — and this little app tells you how to even it all out at the end. We love traveling with this app!!

This is one of the most useful apps on my phone. It’s simple to use and just super efficient! I have used it for years now for cost splitting while traveling, purchases etc. a friend introduced me to it and I’ve introduced to a dozen more friends. Thanks for a great app and please keep updating it!!!!

This app has all the features I need to efficiently split costs during trips abroad. I love that it supports multiple currencies and provides a detailed breakdown of all costs incurred in a shareable email & PDF. I wish that there was an Android version for those not on iOS but otherwise this is a must have for effective cost sharing. Thanks, Jacob!

This app has been a go to for many years from fishing trips to sailing trips or a weekend camping with friends. Unfortunately, some of my closest friends and family don’t use the Apple ecosystem… would really love to have cost-split provide and android app! Please !!!

We had 13 people for a week in Hawaii with multiple events. This was perfect for dividing up each person’s share! Only Recommendation would to be able to group families together. That might be in the premium version. Will use this app again and again!

We’ve used Cost Split for years and love it but for some reason now the app is no longer able to download the exchange rates. Every currency shows that it is equal to the dollar in value. This needs to be fixed. Without this problem I would rate it a 5.

Golfing trips with 16 guys and expenses gets really messy. This app helps put the bookkeeping nightmare out of the way.

I’m using this app again on a group trip and realize how awesome and easy it is to use. I bought this back in 2014 and have used it at least yearly for family trips, guys golf trips and party group spending. Easy and has so many features I would have never even thought of. Just get it, and you will love it.

I can’t enter my email . Should i get premium ?

I used to love this app for all the reasons mentioned by others. But a few years ago push notifications stopped working, the exchange rates no longer download and inquiries to support go unanswered. I think the app is no longer managed which is too bad, I haven't found an alternative with better features. But when the features don't work you have to move on.

Easy to use

I absolutely love this app. Have been using it for several years. I use it for vacations, team sports, joint birthday gifts, party planning with a group- it’s amazing! I love that it can be weighted per party— the only thing it doesn’t do is let me break down the costs of they’re different. For instance, I bought ski tickets for a party of 15. Some were adult and some were children prices. I couldn’t enter it as one transaction. I had to break it down by line item.. kids and adults. But that’s no big deal. It would be great if there was some sort of notes section too. But this is an amazing app! Great job!

Simple effective and easy

Just finished a 2 week fly fishing adventure to Colorado with 3 other guys and this app was a god send. Allowed expenses to be transparent to the whole group. Even if they didn’t have an account. The end of the trip spreadsheet and summary were a great feature. Thanks for a perfect simple to use functional app.

The app is good and I’ve used it in the last couple of years. One suggestion- can folders be created to contain related cost split grouping. I would like to group all the 2018 events together. Thank you.

I would give 5 stars if the app has an Android version. I love the app, wish have a few minor improvements but by far it’s still one of the best cost split app. Seriously? Will the developer make it compatible with android?

How do I change my home urgency?

I would try to do spreadsheets to log costs on trips, but could never do anything like this app. It also becomes a diary of the trip with pictures places visited.

I don’t know how this app is not featured by Apple on the App Store. It is the single greatest app available. I have never had a app that next me with wanting nothing more. It is simply perfect in every way.

I’ve never felt compelled to write a review of an app before but Cost Split has been such a lifesaver when I travel with friends! Not only can we all easily track expenses but Cost Split figures out how to get everyone the money they deserve in the fewest transactions. So appreciated by me and my group of friends!

Only allows 4 free transactions to be entered

I travel frequently with friends and family. This app makes it very easy to tally up at the end of the trip. I was turned onto it by friend, and I use it for every trip now. Excellent app.

This is one of the best and most useful apps I have. When taking a trip with others, it eliminates the hassle of keeping track of who owes who what and the pain in the rear end calculating amounts. Extremely EASY to use. Example...I took a 12 day motorcycle trip with a friend...different hotels each night and meals each day. I simply entered the amounts as we went along, which is EASY and an entry takes about 15 seconds. As the trip progressed we simply looked at the status and the person "short" paid for the meal after alternating hotel payments. Result....at the end of the trip one person owed the other $10.00 . Simple , no hassle and a total elimination of "who pays what and who owes who". Also completely eliminates any doubt about someone being shorted. The reports are Excellent and the ability to email the report is fantastic I've also used it with multiple people traveling multiple days and on each day hotel payments varied as to who was in the room and who paid. Again...worked PERFECT !

Want my money back.

This app was a godsend on a recent trip abroad with 3 friends. I have noted a few quirks, though. First, although the final report is easy to email, it is impossible to print out so folks could more easily review it to make sure all expenses were included accurately. Please revise so printing can occur without cutting off most of the report. When emailing the report, it did not appear as an attachment, so maybe that's the problem? Second, when you want to include a message to recipients with the report, word replacement function did not work. (Ex: "the repot seys i have..." is replaced with "the rreport ssays iI have..."). Third, I wish the app would let the user designate the exchange rate; the rate that appeared for us was not what we were charged when we got our credit card statements. It may have been current on the day the report was generated, but not when the expenses were incurred. But I still love this app!

Fairly easy to use and doesn't require inviting everyone to join with an account, but it's limited to 5 transactions unless you pay, and this limitation isn't mentioned in the app store description.

All my friends were making fun of me cause I'm so obsessed with this app! Usually money splitting apps are complicated and more trouble than they're worth. I used it for dividing finances during a road trip however and they were all blown away by how easy it was! Had everything divided in minutes.

This app made tracking costs for a family trip. We knew where everyone stood on costs every step of the way.

I have been looking for an app like this for who knows how long, and this is possibly the best way to design a cost-splitting app. I frequently lose track of how much things cost when I split with a group of 4-6 people (including myself), and this takes care of my problem perfectly. Pros: - Allows adding as many people and groups as you want (with a $0.99 upgrade) - Keeps track of net expenses per person - Sends individualized reports to group members at the end of your activity - App is easy to use (mild learning curve) Cons: - Honestly? Recently used this on our trip. It's the best app that you can use it on your trips. Very easy and simple to use.

I travel A LOT. Everything from road trips to trans-Pacific vacations. Often the trips are with groups of friends and this app has been a godsend. We used to try to figure it all out with a spreadsheet and it was a nightmare. One always thinks it is going to be easy to keep track, and a few hours into the trip it is already getting complicated...again. This app simplifies cost splitting so much!! I can't recommend it highly enough. My one recommendation would be to allow for more than one person to pay an expense, and maybe even in different amounts. For example 3 people go to lunch, only 2 of them pay (they invite the other for her birthday) and one pays a bit more than the other. However, even without this feature, this app is really amazing. The app does allow a higher "weight" for a person, but only for the whole trip, not for single entries. Sharing the expenses with other people is super easy and works extremely well. Thanks for making this app!! It is excellent and such a time saver! (I think the app might even help avoid friction between friends sometimes!)

All very good. Some people suggest to change the icon layout and color and make it more "trendy", I don't agree: your icon pops out on my homepage on my iPhone making it easier to find among other apps. It's very functional in that sense

This app is great! I travel in groups a lot and this keeps track of who owes who! Little expenses can add up quick! Great way to control free loaders lol! I love is especially when I travel with my mom, she is from Brazil, so mixing currencies can be easily figure out! I Highly recommend this app!

Do not be put off by the old looking graphic logo - this app is really very good. Pros: No need to register 'members' - so you can quickly create one-off IOU groups. Sync works PHENOMENALLY well! (Tested it on 5 devices). If you want to create a group- you can set it up & then send people a code to access the group.. This is SO much faster & less hassle than other apps that force people to register just to view who owes what. AWESOME. Email- you can email the balances/ transactions history. Great for dealing with colleagues or older family members who just don't use their phones. Cons: there is no widget (but about 90% of splitting apps don't have this. To the developers: update your logo graphic! I passed over the app several times because it looked old fashioned! Secondly- if you can add a today widget this app would become AWESOME. I'm upgrading to premium for 99cents to pay the developers- great job - keep it up!

Greatly simplifies the mess of keeping track of expenses for a group. Lots of nice little touches that removes the pain from this process.

This is the best of the cost splitting apps by far, particularly for trips. No fussing with invites and contact info like other apps. Just create a group, add people, and enter their expenses. View expense totals or the optimized payback report at any time.

I travel a lot with friends and I love this App. It has everything One needs and is very easy to operate.

Just what I needed for a bachelor weekend. Different people were always paying and hoping it would all even out in the end. And I didn't need to annoy my friend to create accounts, I just managed it from my one phone and we settled up on our way home.
